Eli Manning Prematurely Celebrates Field Goal

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning puts his fist up in the air as teammate Lawrence Tynes attempts a 53 yard field goal and is dejected when the kick comes up short.

This Eli Manning GIF is perfect for premature celebrations, thinking you won too soon, getting your hopes up, sudden disappointment, celebrating before seeing the result, or watching confidence immediately turn into regret.

Manning spent his entire NFL career with the New York Giants, and his sideline expressions became familiar to football fans alongside his play at quarterback. His reserved personality could make sudden moments of excitement, confusion, frustration, or disappointment especially noticeable during games.

NFL GIFs capture the emotional swings of football particularly well, from celebrating a play before it is over to realizing seconds later that things did not go as planned. Eli’s immediate change from confidence to disappointment makes this a natural reaction for everyday wins that disappear just as quickly.
